I just wanted to reach out to my subscribers to pray for my good friend, Wendy from @mamadoesketo  https://youtube.com/@mamadoesketo?si=srT02XQigVXPdCJF  .  She went into the ER on Wednesday with what seemed to be a stomach bug,  but it turned out to be renal failure due to metformin related lactic acidosis. She is currently in critical yet stable condition and having round the clock dialysis.  Please pray for her body to heal and for her kidneys to function. She's so far away from me now and my heart is just a mess of worry.  I love you so much,  Wendy!

Update From Tim: Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. I wish I could give individual responses to each message of love & concern, but know that they are truly appreciated. Wendy had a very good day. They have been able to remove and reduce several medications. Her kidneys have started functioning and we are hopeful they will fully recover. It is expected that dialysis will end tomorrow morning, and hopefully the breathing tube removed later that day, and they can then start to bring her out of sedation. As that process moves forward and she is released from ICU, visits from friends will be most welcome. Wendy’s parents flew in last night and their presence has been such a blessing. This experience, though harrowing, has strengthened my understanding that we have a Father in Heaven who loves us, and a Savior who has paid a marvelous price to carry us through any kind of hardship. We are so grateful for the Lord, Jesus Christ. And grateful for each of you.

UPDATE 1/22/24
Wendy is doing well, her kidneys are producing, they continue to scale back pain and blood pressure and other meds, and they will probably do a weaning trial today to see if she is ready to be extubated. Her dialysis port is not providing enough volume so they have closed that. They are monitoring her labs and will place a new port if needed. Let's pray that she's done with dialysis. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I can’t wait for her to read through your sweet messages.

UPDATE 1/24: Tim says: Wendy is doing very well overall. Her kidneys are quickly returning to health, though she will likely need occasional dialysis for a while. She is responding to verbal commands for the first time since Thursday. We’ve had a few minor setbacks but she’s working through them. So grateful for your prayers and faith. Thankful to our Heavenly Father for preserving her life.

Update 1/26: From Tim 
Wendy is doing well. She was extubated last night. We are past the critical part and now comes a long recovery. She is on limited meds, starting to get a little water and pudding, sitting up with assistance. She needs time to rest and heal. She should transfer out of ICU today or tomorrow. So grateful our Heavenly Father blessed us all with the gift of more time with her.
