Giacomo De Simone, born in Sicily in 1954, is an Italian director renowned for his work in music videos. Starting his career in Venezuela, he formed a music group and made his first Super 8 films at just 13. Upon returning to Italy in 1970, he settled in Tuscany, where he pursued his passion for film, experimenting with unique styles and techniques. Known for collaborations with major artists like Zucchero, Peter Gabriel, and Ray Charles, De Simone directed iconic videos such as Corona's "The Rhythm of the Night" and Ice MC’s "Cinema." He received numerous awards, including at the Havana Film Festival and the New York Film Festival. His work spans music, TV productions, and commercials for brands like Christian Dior and Trussardi.
