From a young age Koen created music. He attended ArtEZ University for the Arts, the conservatory well known for schooling Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL. Here he studied film composition and gained technical expertise regarding music production. Later, he works with Cavalry Music, a Los Angeles based label and publisher focussing on custom trailer scoring for world's biggest entertainment properties including Disney, Universal and Warner. Currently he lives in The Netherlands with his Mexican spouse and their newborn where he works from his music studio for international production companies. In his experiences he has come to recognize the importance of music in the art of storytelling.
