I've just posted a new demo on the channel, it was a little too long so I had to post in 2 parts.

I filmed this demo in real time with no commentary or music, it was filmed during one of the worst storms of the year and you might hear this as you watch it ( I quite like all these background sounds, it's atmospheric) 

I will be filming a couple more videos before the end of the year but I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and hope you enjoy time with your friends and family. 

It can be a difficult time for some especially if you are facing Christmas without loved ones for the first time. This has been a sad year for myself and my family and I will be thinking about my Mum and nephew Matt.

Thanks for all your support for the channel over this last month, it's good to know that the style of demo I post is still of interest. I always like to encourage anyone to experiment with the techniques regardless of your artistic abilities, the main thing is to try and see how it develops, explore mark making as an exercise and it will open up new possibilities for your own creative path. I've recently connected the WiFi to the studio and want to explore the idea of filming live unedited videos. The monoprints shown here are something that I would like to post live as I work on them so hopefully the first videos will be posted next month. Thanks again for all your kind messages and feedback, I will try to reply to all comments as soon as I can. 

Here's some photos of the small sculpture from this week's video exploring texture. I had to wait for some good weather and decent light to take it back to the landscape that inspired its creation. Thanks for all the nice comments and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I will make more of these sculptural demos in the future but I hope you enjoy experimenting with this technique. 

It's been a while! I've been back filming some new videos and will begin posting again in September. I want to try a different direction with the channel and to set targets for myself. Rather than posting instructional videos I just wanted to show real time I spend in the studio, showing improvised sketches, exercises to try and larger scale projects. All videos are going to be filmed in advance and I'm trying to film in real time with very few edits, no music and no commentary. All comments and questions will always be welcome. The videos will also be numbered in sequence for reference. I'm sticking to a schedule of regular posts which for now will be every Monday and Thursday at 3pm, two videos a week. Hope you will enjoy the new videos starting on Monday 2nd of September. I will be repeating some familiar techniques, but it's what I like to do and helps with the process of creativity. Thanks for your support. 

Thank you to all channel members, I'm sorry for the lack of exclusive content recently and I feel that it would only be right to bring the membership option to a close. Due to a change in circumstances it has become difficult for me to devote as much time to this channel as I really would like to, I need to try and concentrate on new artwork as I have become very unmotivated and my work has begun to suffer. The channel will still be available and when the time is ready I will be posting new videos again. At the end of the month I will close the membership option so you will no longer be charged a monthly fee. It's been a very difficult couple of months following the passing of my mum, and I have struggled to get back to being creative again. I've begun to work in my sketch books and have been filming some of the process. I will post a video and hope that it may help others in a similar situation. I know that art does help and creating artwork is something that I've always done. I'm taking my own advice to just enjoy making marks, sketchbook work allows me to do this. I will try to have the video available later today.
