Hurricane Update —
I’m definitely luckier than most people in my area… I still have power and I still have air conditioning. My sympathies for everyone in the area who’s had damage, possible injury, or even just inconvenience. This storm was bigger and more powerful than the area expected.
My aunt got flooded and is currently trapped in her home. I have to go rescue her this afternoon when the water recedes. On a lesser note… I don’t have Internet access either. So, no video this week.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the channel. I truly appreciate you allowing me to share my collection and opinions, maybe educate you about an interesting aspect of horology, and hopefully entertain.

I’ll start by saying…. This is not an April Fools joke — however, it is April 1st. 🤔

I’ve greatly enjoyed my time on YouTube and the many friends I’ve made in the community. This channel is a passion project of mine and I’m super happy with the growth and development of the channel. The channel recently passed 50k Subscribers and I definitely want to thank all of my regular watchers, commenters, and even those just passing through.

I do have a Channel Announcement:
I’m going to be cutting back episodes to every other week instead of weekly. For the past 2+ years I’ve made a weekly episode while juggling a full-time career, a family life (including a now 3 year old little boy), trying to be active on other YouTube livestreams, and creating/editing my own content. To keep up with this schedule I’ve let a few things slip by that are really important to me — #1 being my health. Three years ago I was 165lbs with a muscular physique. Now, I’m 180lbs and I haven’t graced the inside of a gym in over a year. I used to run 2-3 miles multiple times a week — similarly I haven’t gone for a jog in 6 months.

I’ll share a somewhat embarrassing story — I was at work several months ago and someone I’ve never worked with joined the team I work with regularly. Pleasant introductions were made and at some point one of my coworkers mentioned that I had a YouTube channel. The new individual thought that was really interesting and looked up my channel and watched an older video. Her first words… “That doesn’t really look like you”. She didn’t have to say it directly… but, the smiles I got from my regular team spoke volumes. I’m almost 50 years old which makes it even more important that I concentrate on my health again. I believe cutting back on my video production will help me find more time to exercise and balance some other aspects of my life.

Thus, I’m guaranteeing a video every other week… maybe I’ll sneak in an extra video from time to time and I definitely hope to make more YouTube Shorts. My goal is to continue making what I hope to be entertaining, educational, opinionated, and relatable videos on different aspects of watch collecting and my personal collecting journey.

Thanks for the support. I really do appreciate it.

Frank Herbert’s Dune is my favorite book/movie series. I’ve been a fan for decades. I was absolutely thrilled to hear about the new movies releasing in theaters. I’m hopeful for more movies in the future. What I wasn’t expecting… Hamilton to release a watch based on a prop from the movie. Is this a gimmick… Absolutely. Did I fall for it… Absolutely. 😁
I bought the Hamilton Ventura Edge Dune Limited Edition Watch. Review / Unboxing dropping soon.
