I acquired my passion for food & cooking from my Mom, Elsie Tanaka Tokita, who was a professional Chef (featured in Bon Appétit Magazine), specializing in Asian & Hawaiian cuisines. I'm dedicating this channel to her, as she passed away in January of 2015. Professionally, I'm an Event Planner & owner of an Event Management agency, TokitaBethune, and have managed thousands of corporate, public & nonprofit events all over the world. Food service is a large part of events, so working with other catering professionals has given me a wide range of knowledge for cooking & food presentation.
