Happy Holidays to everyone! As we start to slowly get back into the backcountry we figured it would be a great time to touch up on those backcountry skills. 

As some may know, on January 29, 2023, Kyle Smaine, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, was unfortunately killed in an avalanche while on a ski trip in Japan. Kyle was a pro skier, talented cyclist, passionate adventurer, and an even more incredible human. The many communities he touched have shown an outpouring of love and respectful words for Kyle, and we’re so grateful.

I (Brian) want to thank everyone for their support over the years with our channel. A promise that I've made not only to myself but also to Kyle is to keep sharing what we both loved to do so much and what brought us so close as friends; our love for the outdoors and skiing. The Lost Boys may have been started by the two of us, but it is a lifestyle that we both truly cared about, not growing up and playing in the mountains. I plan to continue his legacy and share the stoke for the outdoors with as many people as possible. 

In the words of Kyle, "Ski pow, eat ramen, smile more... it's not that serious"
