Woodcrest was the neighborhood where I grew up and I named my channel Woodcrest Bonsai to honor the love of gardening that my parent's instilled in me all those years ago. At Woodcrest Bonsai I cover all aspects of growing bonsai including propagation, the formative stages of growth to create taper and movement in the trunk, initial styling and branch placement, and continued refinement and maintenance of finished trees. I live in USDA climate zone 10 in the US so many of my trees are tropical but I hope that wherever you live, that you can apply some of my techniques to the material that you grow even if they are different varieties. I plan on providing regular updates on my trees so you can watch them grow and develop over time. I hope you enjoy my channel !
