The work of ACE-Aware Scotland began in 2018, when two organisations – Tigers and connected baby - came together to host a conference on ACEs. It had an ambitious title, “Making Scotland the World’s First ACE-Aware Nation”, and a large attendance of nearly 2500 people. A national event has been hosted by their partnership every year between 2018 and 2024. The events have helped to build grassroots momentum throughout Scotland for thinking about childhood trauma. This channel contains videos of the many speakers who have contributed to those events, as well as our Stories of Resilience Podcast Series. The 100+ videos demonstrate the multi-sector enthusiasm that exists across Scotland for understanding the power of relational approaches. It is through nurturing emotionally safe relationships that we best counter the impacts of adverse childhood experiences.
