My first few videos are about turning flat, 2-D shapes into 3-D forms. I recommend using ink pens to do away with the desire to always want to erase; therefore, concentrating on seeing into the paper rather than just left to right or up and down on the surface. At the end of these videos I often spontaneously draw whatever comes to mind with my pen, and once in a while I will devote an entire video to spontaneous drawing. I also teach basic oil painting techniques and color theory.
