Hummingbird is an amateur Taishogoto/Taisho-koto musical ensemble and poem chanting group formed by the leader, Emiko Sugimoto and her students. The members are simply music lovers and practice it every week in west Tokyo. The average age of the members is over 50 but the energy age is less than 20. Taishogoto/Taisho-koto is a Japanese musical instrument similar to the dulcimer and psalmodicon. We use a pick to play soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Ours can be played as electric kotos in a big hall. We follow a numerical musical notation, so anybody can play it easily if you can read numbers. Join us if you are interested. ハミングバードは大正琴でアンサンブルを楽しんでいるグループです。メンバーは東京西部で毎週練習をしています。地域のイベントや、県人会、同窓会、等で演奏をしたり、デイケア等でボランティア活動をしています。 現代の大正琴はソプラノ、アルト、テナー、ベースの４種類があります。大きな会場ではアンプを通してエレキ大正琴にして演奏が出来ます。数字譜を使うので誰でも簡単に弾くことが出来ます。演奏曲目も様々で、童謡・唱歌、歌謡曲、演歌、ポップス、クラッシック等楽しむことができます。決して上手くはないですが練習の成果の記録として残しています。このビデオを見てくださりありがとうございます。ぜひ私たちと一緒にやってみませんか？
