Turning 40 was a pivotal moment that led to a healthier, more adventurous lifestyle. From quitting unhealthy habits to conquering the Appalachian Trail, it's a reminder that it's never too late to make positive changes and embrace the great outdoors. "I had a mini midlife crisis, but it was a good thing for me. At 40, I thought, you know what? I can't do this anymore. I want to make the most of life. So I changed my job. I stopped smoking, and I stopped drinking so much. From then, I just basically got out on smallish hikes. I used to do a lot of walking in the UK, and there are loads of amazing trips over here. My first big trip, my first proper big one, was the Appalachian Trail in 2019. So prior to that, I wasn't really an outdoorsy type. It's unusual now I'm saying it because it feels like I've always been like it, but I haven't."
