Aquariums of Pyongyang is created by Kang Chol Hwan, a North Korean defector who escaped North Korea almost 3 decades ago. After his escape, Mr Kang wrote a book about his haunting experience as a young political prisoner. 

Through our channel, we hope to reach a wider audience who are curious about North Korea. We will post new content every week with North Korean defectors.
