Quick Update

So tomorrow was planned to be the next stream.

However, I've been sick the last two days (full blown man flu 😂)

The forecast for tomorrow is looking grim, with rain for the entire day.

I'll see how I feel in the morning, but being unwell and standing out in the rain for the day may not be the smartest move, so may move to a day over the weekend instead.

Keep an eye on the schedule for updates 😉 

Pretty much all arrivals and departures for Dublin Airport are now cancelled up to midday tomorrow due to  #StormÉowyn 

A couple of anomalies, but I've no doubt the remainder will be cancelled shortly or before morning

Will and I managed to get the new roof platform finished this evening ahead of tomorrow's stream.

Looking forward to giving it a test run on the north runway tomorrow.

Fingers crossed it doesn't go airborne on the drive to the airport 😂 

Weather Update

So I'm eager to get the first stream of 2025 done.

However, having been in work the last few days, now the weather is not playing nice, with a number of snow and ice warnings to come into force for the rest of the weekend.

Snow amounts still vary widely across all the models.

Needless to say, I won't be driving in snow conditions if not absolutely necessary 😂

Happy New Year to All

Just a quick update, I have the van booked for it's test tomorrow, so it should be road legal again after that 🤞🏻

Once that's done we can get back to normal and not have to rely on the car being available at home, so that I'm able to go streaming 😂

Couldn't get the rain cover to stay on with the wind and the camera was getting destroyed.

Normally I have to set up with the cover on already because of cables etc.

There was zero rain forecast for the next two days, so I chanced it and lost 😂

Good Morning All

So the plan was to stream today for the XLR arrival at 2pm. Unfortunately, Aer Lingus has now moved the arrival to hours of darkness, which means we won't get to see it land.

I have changed the stream time to tomorrow morning, so we can get some heavy traffic arriving. Afternoons during this winter schedule are full of extended gaps with no movement, so it's better for us all.

Plagued by issues today, from stream encoder randomly shutting, runway changes and then zero traffic.

I'll have everything right for next stream.
