Welcome! We are so fortunate to be able to share this lovely family of Great Horned Owls. Follow along as they raise their 2 owlets in Ennis Texas. We built and installed this nest in 2012 after hearing some Great Horned Owls in our trees. We saw them the next few years but they never stayed to raise a family. Finally, in 2017 they raised their first owlets. They took a year off in 2018 but continued to raise families until 2023. One of not both parents passed away in late 2023 and a new pair attempted to start a family in 2024. They weren’t ready and abandoned the eggs. Hopefully they will be successful in the future.
