We've been chugging along, trying to add a new film an hour until we reach our goal of 10,000 videos on our Youtube channel. We hope to reach that goal by the end of March. Then we will be spending energies moving our films out of storage into our new film vault area.

We appreciate everybody's feedback. Right now it looks like, with the limitations of Youtube's uploading and the time we have to dedicate to new video uploads, we'll probably be doing around 24 films a day. We'll space them out to once an hour.

We have literally several thousand new films to share with you. We know that it can be overwhelming to get a bunch of films in your feed everyday. So let us know what is too many films to receive in a day...

Send them all. We love them!

No more than 48 a day - a new one every 30 minutes.

No more than 24 a day - a new one every 1 hour

No more than 6 a day - a new one every 4 hours

Apologies to the deluge of videos to everyone's subscription notifications. We think we've figured out how to limit this with future video uploads. We'll still do notifications for our daily live streams. Sorry again for all that hassle. We've got thousands of films we want to share but also don't want to bug you..

Adding even more films! We are experimenting with the titling of the films - making them a little bit more enticing (aka clickbait). We'll still try to put the title of the film and the year, if we know it, in the description.

We are experimenting with YouTube Shorts - pulling out highlights from the films we've posted. Let us know if you like it..

We are adding more films but many don't have soundtracks - to clarify, the particular film copy we scanned didn't have a soundtrack. Why do we do this? We've heard from some of you that you often will watch the silent films with your own music soundtrack - that it is meditative not to hear narration. Personally, we've watched other channels and have enjoyed watching videos with no narration as a way to wind down after a busy day of digitizing films. What do you think?
