Apricot Surgery Update! 🩷

Apricot had a successful surgery! he starts his pain meds tomorrow morning. for now he will be on fleece & bathmats until fully healed. in 10-14 days, he will go back to get his stitches removed. I am keeping an eye on him. if his wound starts bleeding, leaking, or anything out of the ordinary, the vet will be contacted. thank you to everyone who has prayed, supported, and much more! I appreciate you all so so much 🫂🤍

hey guys! here's the update...

so my cat, Spruce, went to the vet aswell due to respiratory problems and we did a panel testing to see what exactly is wrong and hes been diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumoniae and calicivirus.

as for Apricot, his appointment went well but unfortunately he is going to need his left front leg amputated. the infection is severe and there's no way to save his foot. me & Dr. Capps both agreed that it's better to give him a chance at life with 3 legs or pass peacefully on the table than to let him suffer and pass by the bone infection.

January 31st is Apricots surgery.
Spruce is on antibiotics until further notice. 

Apricot is going back to the vet on Tuesday! (January 11th).

he will be getting his xrays on his foot redone and we will decide from there what is the best course of action for him and his foot problem. we are hoping his infection has not spread any further into his bones and hoping he will not need amputation. but even then, the main goal is for him to be pain free & still have good quality of life. in the end, I just want this infection gone for him. he's been so strong. he's been on antibiotics + probiotics since some time last summer along with up to 3 epsom salt soaks a day. now is the time we see and decide the next big thing to do about his foot and I am nervous! I love Apricot with all my heart. he is indeed my soul pig. he has been to the vet several several times now. wish us luck! I will keep everyone updated.

The affected products have the UPC code 6 81131 32884 5, lot code BFFG327A6, and best-by date of December 10, 2024. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and can return it for a refund. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your little Angel. I know how much she meant to you and how special the bond between you two were. She was so very lucky to have you as her owner, providing her with so much love and care. Losing a pet is never easy, and it's okay to grieve and take the time you need to heal. If you ever want to talk or share memories about them, I'm here for you and happy to listen. I drew Angel for you in hopes to cheer you up a little. You'll see her and the others again one day. It's okay to grieve in your own way, and your feelings are completely valid. There’s no right or wrong way to process loss. What matters is that you allow yourself the space to feel and heal.
