Joshua N Stanton’s work centres around the impact of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality on Contemporary Painting Practice “Where are myth, magic and mysticism in the age of information? Distorted perception and altered states allow us to enter the circus of the psyche. Syncretic spaces of simultaneity collide with magical realism and pop surrealism to relate in blob space. Themes in Phenomenology and Metaphysics permeate the work, while the unification of paint and print underpin an ongoing investigation in conversation with ideas of post-internet and post-analog thinking”.
