The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) provides innovative learning solutions to individuals, organizations and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support country-level action for shaping a better future. UNITAR is the only United Nations entity with a presence in the symbolic city of Hiroshima. Established in 2003, our Hiroshima Office is part of the UNITAR Division for Prosperity and develops and delivers needs-based training in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To date, the Hiroshima Office has reached over 60,000 learners in least-developed countries, conflict and post-conflict states, and fragile states, as well as people living in Japan.
