OUT NOW! It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken (Live From “No Dress Rehearsal”) with Feist is now available on all streaming platforms. Listen at https://linktr.ee/thehip

In 2021 The Juno Awards invited us to play in an empty Massey Hall, mid-renovations and mid-Covid. It would be our first time doing something like this without Gord, so there was obviously some hesitation. When the conversation surrounding the vocalist came up the unanimous decision was our longtime friend, Leslie Feist. She was perfect for the gig, and in all honesty we wouldn’t have done it without her.

Up until now, the recording has only been available here on YouTube. We hope you all enjoy listening to it, whenever and wherever you are.

“For for a good life
We just might have to weaken
And find somewhere to go”

It feels like we’ve come full circle with this one. 2024 marked our 40th anniversary as a band, and we dug deep into the archives; putting out unreleased tracks, a new music video, our docu-series, and our book. It only feels right to close out the year with a deep look into our first full-length studio album that started it all.

Here’s what’s included in the 4LP ( 180g vinyl) / 3CD & Blu-ray Audio:
+ ‘Up To Here’ (2024 remaster of the original album)
+ 5 previously unreleased songs from the UTH sessions, remastered and mixed in Atmos: “She’s Got What It Takes,” “Get Back Again,” “Rain, Hearts And Fire,” “Hailstone Hands Of God,” and “Wait So Long”
+ A recording of Live at Misty Moon in 1990 + 1-hour concert film on Blu-ray
+ Demos from 1988 recorded prior to the UTH sessions
+ A 28 page book documenting the history of our debut album era

“This Is Our Life” is out now! You can order the Deluxe Edition and the Bookstore Edition now at thetragicallyhipbook.com (the bookstore edition is also available in stores). Scroll for a sneak peek into how far back we go in this book…

This our first and only official anthology, made entirely of our words and the words of our friends and colleagues. We couldn’t have done it without the expertise of Genesis Publications, who helped us sort through boxes of history hidden away in our closets and basements. It feels great to finally tell our story in our own words.

Here’s the difference between the two editions:
There are only 1,000 copies of the Deluxe Edition, and each one is numbered and hand signed by Gord S, Rob, Paul and Johnny. It includes a 7” vinyl of 'Get Back Again' from 1988 and the live version from The Misty Moon, as well as six 5x7" postcard prints and a 1992-93 ‘Fully Completely’ backstage tour pass. The book itself is bound in metallic pink art paper and presented in a handmade clamshell box.

The Bookstore Edition includes all the same exclusive content, minus the extra goodies and signatures. It’s available for a much lower price point on our website, as well as in stores.
