I am an artist, art historian and Curator of The Maurice Sendak Foundation. I feature my art work, review fountain pens, and interview other artists. I was the lead curator of the acclaimed exhibition, Art After Stonewall 1969-1989, which toured the United States to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. My books include Ambition and Love in Modern American Art and Pier Groups: Art and Sex along the New York Waterfront. I curated the exhibition Wild Things Are Happening: The Art of Maurice Sendak which is currently on view at The Columbus Museum of Art.
