On August 13, 2018, I took my first steps on South Australia's iconic 1,200-kilometre Heysen Trail. I began that journey to take a break from city-life and raise money and awareness for mental health issues. As an unsuspecting first time long-distance hiker, long-time creative, my bulky rucksack was crammed full with cameras, batteries and various other unessential items to capture my journey. Since those early days, I've stripped back my gear, amped up my adventures and completely fallen in love with the nomadic hiking lifestyle, all tempered with an underlying creative outlook. So much so, in 2019, I received the incredible honour of a Heysen Trail Ambassadorship by the Friends of the Heysen Trail. My next significant goal is to complete a long-distance trail in every state in Australia. Any suggestions? Let me know!
