This channel is a tribute to my mum Rose who was born on 29th June 1928 and died on 20th May 2024. Mum had dementia during the last 4 years of her life but she rarely complained and also couldn’t move around much. I spent the last 5 years caring for her along with my sister and she was in nursing homes for the last 15 months. Mum wanted to stay in the home and garden she loved  as long as possible having lived there nearly all of her married life and I also was born there. If anyone is struggling with dementia or helping someone there is plenty of help out there and it is very rewarding helping anyone who has this condition Mum never lost her sense of humour nor her intelligence but her short term memory. And her ability to look after herself gradually. When I was with her she felt safe and if I went outside for a while she was afraid I had gone and u can see that in the videos I had to keep reassuring her that I would always be back and would always be there for her.
