I know that I have been making a lot of deal posts lately, but this is one of the times of year where all the Lawn & Garden stuff goes on deep sales. Things are being cleared out from previous year's stock, and since interest in garden products are lowest in winter, companies often take lower margins on their items. This will not last. Prices always go up in spring as interest in gardening peaks, so it is always best to stock what you need now at deep discounts than wait and pay more later.

I genuinely hope you find this post helpful. There are some really good deals in there, and all items include shipping. Please note the links above are Amazon affiliate links. If you choose to use them, I would receive a small commission from Amazon at no cost to you.

*MEGA DEAL ALERT!!* HUGE SALE on 4 CUBIC FT bags of PERLITE!! Only $36.90 SHIPPED!! This is a GREAT deal! DO NOT miss this: https://amzn.to/3EhLK2F

I am re-posting this deal from yesterday, because it is so good that I want to make sure more people see this. Perlite almost NEVER goes on sale, especially in bulk quantities with shipping included. This is *extremely* rare. This is a huge 4 cubic ft bag selling for the cost of a couple small bags. If you want to make your own potting mix or seed starting mix and save a ton of money versus buying low-quality bagged mix, do not let this opportunity pass you by. This will store indefinitely in a cool, dry place to use at your leisure.

*MEGA DEAL ALERT!* 50% OFF C9 incandescent lights! Stock up on this seasonal clearance!
25-CT C9 Lights, Orange, 50% OFF, $9.99: https://amzn.to/4jwJWD3
25-CT C9 Lights, Multi-Color, 50% OFF, $11.99: https://amzn.to/4hCkBps

These sellers are clearing out their leftover stock of C9 outdoor incandescent lights for the season. If you watch my videos, you know this is my favorite way to protect my cold sensitive plants from cold. While it looks like the horrific cold of January is over, winter is still here. Things are cooling in the PNW, and the pattern is forecast to flip and bring more cold to the East in late February.

Regardless, even if the worst cold is over for the year, now is a good time to stock these for next year. I always keep a few spare boxes on hand "just in case" one of my old strings breaks or I decide I need to add more protection to more things. Each string is 175W, and they give off tremendous warmth. Remember, you must lock in that warmth with agricultural fabric or a plant jacket to keep your plants warm on those very cold nights.

See how to use these lights to protect plants here: https://youtu.be/KRLBg7fjpeg?si=Z2A9D...

*YOU MUST USE INCANDESCENT LIGHTS FOR THIS TO WORK! YOU CANNOT USE LED LIGHTS! LED LIGHTS DO NOT EMIT HEAT!*

*DEAL ALERT!* Great deal on quality duct tape. 5-packs are a little over ~$4/roll shipped, but even cheaper with Subscribe & Save. A good opportunity to stock a few rolls: https://amzn.to/40yRn3T

This is a nice, thick 9-mil tape. This is not a cheap, paper thin economy tape, which is what makes this such a good deal. You're getting a quality product for the price of cheaper, bargain basement tapes on this current sale.

Do I really need to explain the myriad of uses for duct tape? Packing boxes? Duct tape. Wrapping birthday presents? Duct tape. Hole in your screen? Duct tape. Bumper falling off your truck? Duct tape. Kids talking too much? Duct tape. Is there anything duct tape can't do? If there is, I don't want to know about it. Duct tape is the WD-40 of adhesives. We all need it, so why not get it on sale?

*DEAL ALERT!* Big sale on 10"x20" Seedling Heat Mat & Thermostat Kit: https://amzn.to/40AUsjZ
▶▶ Standalone heat mats are also on big sales, 10"x20," $8.99: https://amzn.to/4gkikhF
  ▶▶ 48"x20" Mat, $23.80: https://amzn.to/3PTSpT2

Every gardener that wants to start their own seeds should have a seedling heat mat and heat mat thermostat. This is a great opportunity to get a combo kit that includes both for a very low price. Seedling heat mats are CRITICAL to success starting seeds indoors. They dramatically reduce germination times and increase germination % success rates.

A 10"x20.75" heat mat will fit one standard 72-cell seed tray. A 48"x20.75" mat will fit about 4 standard seedling trays, enough to start hundreds of seedlings. 48-inch mats can also be used to root large tubs of cuttings. I am currently using my 48-inch seedling heat mat to start hundreds of onions, shallots, brassicas, lettuces, tomatoes and peppers for spring!

Thermostats are critical, because different species like different germination temps. Brassicas like soil temps around 70-80 degrees, but tomatoes and peppers like soil temps in the 80-85 degree range. Super hot peppers like 85-90 degree soil temps! You can also use these mats for curing sweet potatoes, making yogurt, kombucha, proofing bread, for warming reptile enclosures, incubating chicken eggs, etc. with thermostat control.

*MEGA DEAL ALERT!* Huge deal on 10-packs of heavy duty 15 gallon nursery containers! They're actually AFFORDABLE at less than $10/pot shipped! Get the deal here: https://amzn.to/3PRPhXK

I am re-posting this from yesterday, because it is such a good deal that I want to make sure folks see it. Years ago, I made a video called, "I Found The PERFECT FRUIT TREE CONTAINER." In it, I explained why 15 gallon heavy duty hard plastic nursery pots are the perfect means of growing fruit trees in containers. I have since moved almost ALL my potted fig trees in them, and nearly 4 years later, they are still like new. See the original video here: https://youtu.be/LuBHbBmh3hU?si=A92C9...

The problem: while the Labworkauto pots are phenomenal, they are pricey at ~$14 per pot: https://amzn.to/4hbDKi1

These pots appear to be a fungible alternative for $40 cheaper, and they are so popular and well-reviewed that I feel comfortable sharing this sale with you all. If you have been waiting for a good deal on large nursery containers, this is definitely worth checking out.

While these are by no means cheap, this is one of those cases where "you get what you pay for." Please, do not cut corners by doing things like buying large plastic tubs made for keeping drinks on ice and modifying them into fruit tree containers. They aren't UV treated, and they will fall apart in the sun. These pots will last 10+ years, maybe longer. They are made to sit out in the hot sun every day and not become brittle and crack. While these are more expensive up front, they will actually last, and you won't be bleeding your wallet dry replacing them.

Also, please do not do things like use fabric grow bags for fruit tree containers. They are designed for annual vegetable gardens, and they aren't made to house wooden roots from mature trees. Using them as tree pots accident waiting to happen. I also have an older video on this here, because cutting corners with fabric grow bags as tree pots killed two of my trees years ago: https://youtu.be/0Yhcu0gZvHo?si=SpdUh...
