Finally, after 50 years of hunting and guiding in Australia, I had the chance to walk in the footsteps of my father and Grandfather in the New Zealand Alps, chasing those magnificent bull Tahr. This is part one of our Tahr series, clips that have been lost in the system and hardly seen by our subscribers.

My love for wild deer and hunting didn't just come from my father, my Mum Joan was my greatest inspiration. 
We farewell Mum on her greatest adventure today. To those hunters who knew her, enjoyed her humour and her cooking, stories of crocodiles, buffalo and deer, remember her with a smile, she was one heck of a lady.
