Just letting you all know that I rereleased one of my very first videos. I really need to clean up the voice over as well as make a few tweaks...including adding Turner to the mix (How did I overlook him?). For those of you who haven't seen this one, I hope you enjoy it! I was sad to loose the 170+ comments but I think it needed to be done. 

Welcome to 2024! Personally, I was happy to say goodby to 2023. As I mentioned a few months back, I have been dealing with a family health issue. Actually...it was two. One resolved itself, but the other ended in death. In mid-December my father passed away after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He's at peace now and I'm sure in joy...and my mother is slowly adjusting.

So, I'm back to working on the YouTube video I started long ago. It feels great to be working on a production again! Thank you all so much for your kindness, understanding, and patience. I'm so blessed to have such a community of subscribers. 

I almost didn't post this note because it's starting to look like I'm constantly giving excuses. And yet...it's just been that kind of year, I'm afraid. I am so sorry I haven't posted any videos in such a long time. I actually started preparing a new one that I've been excited to create, but life keeps getting in the way. For the past 4-5 weeks I've been dealing with a loved one's health situation and am more nurse right now than video creator. I'm hoping things will ease soon. Your patience is so appreciated. 

I just released a new short video on a wonderful Canadian Artist names Maurice Cullen, which will be the first of a series of such videos for a new playlist on my channel: Masterpiece Shorts. I had posted two similar videos previously which I'll re-post at some point on this playlist. They had to be removed when I closed my Patreon page. Just doing some reorganizing. 

So over the next few weeks I'll be posting a bunch of these shorts...I hope you like them!

I've decided that my next video project will be a PART TWO of my professional watercolor paper comparison. Two of the best performing papers in the first video were changed out by the manufacturer shortly after the video released, so I'd like to test the new ones. Plus, there are additional brands to evaluate. At this point, I'm planning to test:

- Baohong Professional Watercolor Paper (Chinese)
- Shizen Professional Grade Watercolor Paper (Indian)
- Hahnemuhle Collection Watercolor Paper (German) - replacing the one tested prior
- Bee Paper Rag Watercolor Paper
- Millford Watercolor Paper (British)
- Winsor & Newton Professional Paper - replacing the one tested prior
- Schut Noblesse Watercolor Paper (Dutch)
- Royal Watercolor Society Watercolor Paper (British)
- Jackson's Two Rivers Watercolor Paper
- I'm debating trying Strathmore's Aquarius II Watercolor Paper, which blends cotton and synthetic paper.

A few aren't definite, so if you have a brand to suggest, let me know ASAP. I plan to keep the number of paper brands to a max of ten.

Part two of Oil Painting Processes of the Masters was just released. This video features Rembrandt and JMW Turner.  Now to start work on part three. It may take me a little longer, but hopefully I'll get it out this spring. I hope you all enjoy the new video! 

I just released PART ONE of a new 3-part series on the painting processes of the Masters! I wanted to get this first part out in time for the Holidays (a Holiday gift to my subscribers?). I hope you enjoy it! Work begins on part two and I hope to release it sometime in January or February 2022.
