My name is Marvin Cooke. I grew up in the FLDS cult. I once was a polygamist with 3 wises and 24 birth children, plus 14 more that I helped raise. They are the children of my second wife and I claim them. That makes a total of 38 children. My dad had 4 wives and 57 children. I had 28 sisters and 28 brothers. 1. I wrote a book called We Drank the Coolaid. I am going to read each chapter and I invite you to follow along. 2. I am a poet. I have written over 156 poems to date that I plan to read here and make available. I also plan to publish them. I have the ability to write a poem about any subject there is and I invite people to send me a topic and commission a poem. 3. I have the format “Polygamy Q & A” where I invite people to comment and ask questions about life as a polygamist. I grew up in a very closed society and I want to open the eyes of the world regarding the FLDS. 4.
