Hi, my name is Russ Leach and I'm a Comic Book Artist. I've loved comics my whole life & found my way into drawing them as a career in 2010. I've been fortunate to work with publishers including DC, Marvel, Arrow, Panini, Warner Brothers, BBC & Markosia. In that time I've also drawn some of my favorite characters including Batman, Dr Who plus a multitude of Marvel & Indy IPs. This channel is for other comic book professionals and aspiring artists alike. The idea is to share my processes & techniques so that other artists can benefit and hopefully share back, so I can improve and grow as an artist. I am also a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate and just like my chosen martial art, comic strip art and illustration requires the basics to get you to a competent standard! Hence the name - ComicBookBlackBelt! Join me in the art dojo, take part in the conversation and hopefully we'll enjoy the journey together :) This is not a tutorial channel & is for viewers over 13 years of age.
