This channel is all about saving money on food in these trying times whatever your income or situation is.  For most of us, times are hard now.  Every meal I cook costs less than a dollar per serving, and that is a luxury.   Each meal is designed to provide ample protein and carbs for working hard.  My recipes are traditional southern cuisine, comfort food for hard times.

A bit about me, I grew up in South Texas on the Rio Grande.  My family was as traditional as they come.  My Dad worked in construction and my mom's work was in the home - taking care of us.  Thanks to Him above and my dad working, my mother kept a house full of love and inexpensive food.  Our home was a gathering place for family and friends.  

I am sharing with you 3 generations of recipes and advice on how to make ends meet in hard times.  Recipes that my grandmother and family passed to my Mom and to me to fill the belly when money was short.
