I'm going to start posting more here. To let you know what's happening at The Streak. It's my triathlon history podcast. I’m slowly uploading episodes to YouTube. We don’t cover THE history of triathlon. Like. Chronologically. It’s just stories that inspired me as a teenage triathlete growing up in Slough in the late-1980s. And stuff that interests me now. Most of it taken from my HUGE collection of 1980s and 1990s triathlon magazines. The latest podcast is about the 1993 Bordeaux Indoor Triathlon. It’s our third 1980s or 1990s triathlon watch-along. We’ve already looked at the 1992 Nice Triathlon and the 1991 St. Croix Triathlon. TED magazine called the Bordeaux event “a turning point for the sport” and “a day as historic as the first Hawaii Ironman or first Nice triathlon.” Knowing what we know now I don’t quite agree with this. The format did go somewhere. But not far. Find the show-notes and audio here: https://thestreakpodcast.com/podcast/22
