Do you miss the long neighborhood and motorcycle tours? I just uploaded the first of possibly more in my Traveling Asia sub channel. Still no plans to bring it back to the main channel as they are polarizing but I really enjoy driving around Korea in my scooter lately so I'll be making a couple more of them and see what you think. Check it out if you miss them and remember to subscribe and set alerts to be notified of future posts.

A video I shot a few months before I left Thailand but one I only just made live on my Talk Channel. I usually reserve these for Patreons but based on the comments it seems many of my viewers are still assuming I've left Thailand on a permanent basis or assuming different reasons for why I've left based on baseless presumptions so I thought this would provide a bit more insight. It's a long video I haven't even rewatched this since I edited it a few months back but I am confident I stand by whatever I said back at this time as nothing I've said before about my love for Thailand, the benefits and the benefits I find in traveling to other countries has changed. If anything I believe this COVID situation has only affirmed and validated the reasons I've decided to venture out to truly live and travel in ALL of Asia as there are unique experiences to be had everywhere.

So I've been getting a lot of comments that I should return back to Thailand and teach English but here's the straight numbers and the actual reality if you're also considering this option as well. I made only about 500 USD teaching English part time. If I get a full time job I can realistically expect to make around 1K USD but that probably means I'll be giving up Youtube which I currently make around 100 USD but my Patreons also donate 200 USD. When you look at it this way maybe it'll make sense why I am not motivated to go back and teach English.
Youtubing part time and teaching English part time had me making a little less than 1K, but if I worked full time I still wouldn't be making much more and English teaching is as much of a dead end job as you can get. It's also highly susceptible to automation in the future. After I spend time with my parents I have a decision to make. Honestly, none of the financial options in Thailand are attractive as you should all know 1K USD isn't any more of a financial stability over 800USD. Going to America is almost not an option either as it would most likely mean I am breaking up with Mayu and I'd be living paycheck to paycheck anyways. It's a decision I am certain I'd regret in the long term dying lonely alone while my family is in Korea and my heart is in Thailand. Why I considered part time jobs in Korea is because if I could theoretically make as much as I did in Thailand over a few months. I could than really focus on Youtubing when I am in Thailand and bring the videos that you guys have been asking for such as complete guides which requires a lot more time than 2 days a week to consistently make and edit. if I am working part time, that's 3 days I am working and another 2 to rest, take care of issues, shop, spend time with Mayu etc so Youtubing had to take second place at times. Recently I had 4 Patreons come on board to support me for an additional 50 USD in donations. At this point I am thinking if I can make it to around 500 in total revenue I'll just Youtube full time and go where my Patreons want me to cover. Hopefully this gives you better insight into the choices I am considering. There are of course additional personal, health, financial, and legal reasons to consider but even based on just the hard income numbers what would you do? I am leaning toward just working a bit harder to bring my Youtube revenue up and focus all my effort into something I love doing which is bringing you guys an honest realistic perspective of living in Asia since financial security isn't really a short term option for me anyways. What the hell is financial security anyways? We'll all die if we catch a disease no matter how much money we have and we only have one life to live. Might as well live it the way we want. I hope you enjoy the upcoming series and my 3 times a week upload schedule. And the best support I can get is you continuing to watch my videos, liking it, and commenting even just to say hi because it'll bring me one step closer living the dream :)

I AM NOT CHOOSING 9-5 or FAMILY over MAYU by going to KOREA
Thank you so much for all the comments on my why I left Thailand video. I think there has been a lot of confusion over my statement that I miss Mayu in the short term in Thailand to be a decision to leave her long term while I am in Korea. I want to clarify that I have every intention of not only returning to her in the short term if possible but that discussions about our future has led me to make this hard decision to leave Mayu for Korea to find a way I can financially take care of myself outside of Thailand and in my older age as Mayu herself does not see herself in Thailand long term. She also does not want to go to America so moving to America is unfortunately would be my very last resort. My decision to move out of Thailand at this time prematurely before Mayu is ready to leave however has been accelerated not only by my grandfather's passing, but the realization that I will not have an opportunity to spend time with my family which I have never had sufficient time to experience as a normal person may have since I left all of them behind when I left Korea when I was 7. Not only my grandmother, but all my aunts, uncles, and parents are older or sick... as a matter of fact, I just got word that my uncle will most likely be taken off life support sometime this year. I can not explain all the personal reasons as well as the financial and legal reasons why making this decision to move out of Thailand made sense to me so that I can continue to do what I love which is be with Mayu and travel in Thailand for the rest of my life in this paragraph or one video but I encourage those of you who are interested to tune into my Journey to Korea Travel Series as I retrace my reasons for having come out to Korea in the first place. I have edited about 4 already and I am in a better state of mind than when I felt discouraged from not getting a job that would have allowed me to travel 100 percent of the time and be with both Mayu and my Family. However I am becoming more certain that even without that job, I may have made the right decision to be in Korea at this moment. The series will explain further and by the time I end the series I am optimistic that the correct path will open up for me and things will be clearer as I resolve my personal issues in Korea and a financial long term decision will be made that will allow me to sustain a life with Mayu in the long term. I am still not certain what opportunities or sacrifices I will made at the end of the series and as spring comes around here in Korea but I encourage you to join my journey of finding where I belong starting with the video below

Hope you enjoy the Terminal 21 walk which I have posted to our "TALK ASIA" CHANNEL and thank you for all the prayers and well wishes for my grandfather!
